Originally from Connecticut, Ward started off his tennis career at the age of 19, traveling the country and playing in USTA qualifying tournaments. Ward’s first Professional job was at the Germantown Tennis Club in Danbury, CT-which he would later go on to own. He has taught in various clubs from CT, to Forest Hills, NY to Houston, TX and now back here in MA. With over thirty five years of experience teaching tennis fundamentals, Ward can certainly say he has a strong passion for tennis. He enjoys teaching players of all skill levels and abilities. Having been fortunate enough to coach many great students as they prepare for college and tournament play, Ward am constantly learning new coaching skills. He continues to play competitively even today. Ward looks forward to meeting and working with the Thoreau Club members. See you on the court!
